Where in the world did the name Daisy Day Brands come from?

           It all began in 2005 when my sister, Beth, and I decided we would make personalized handbags as gifts for Christmas that year.  While our bags were at the embroidery shop being personalized, another local store owner came in and asked to get in touch with us.  She wanted to buy a full line of our bags for her store!  First Beth and I thought, “WOW,” then we quickly realized we didn’t have a “full line” of the bags she was wanting, but we had to hurry and put a business together.

The name of our new business became Daisy Day Bags.  She and I always gave each other daisies on special occasions.  Mainly Sister Day, our own holiday that we created for each other as little girls.  We always thought of daisies as happy flowers...so, Daisy Day Bags.

Beth had been battling Breast Cancer already for four years.  She was diagnosed at age 29.  She was in, what we thought to be, a remission.  However, her cancer returned.  So our business ended almost as soon as it had begun.

The desire for this business always remained in my heart.  However , God put it aside so that it could be done His way ...and in His time.  My sister passed away from metastatic Breast Cancer on April 12, 2008.  Sewing became a form of healing for me.  I began to make a prayer quilt for a friend of mine who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer shortly  after Beth’s passing.  Beth had one of these that had been made for her which she took with her to all of her many chemo treatments.  So it was only fitting that I make these for others.  I made another one for someone I didn't even know, but had a mutual acquaintance with.  She too was battling Breast Cancer.  It was only after I heard over and over again, “You should sell these” that God began to open up avenues for Daisy Day Brands.

So essentially, Daisy Day Brands was conceived between two sisters, built by the love of family, and is operated with complete faith in God to provide.
